Azoni's
Azoni's is a little family run all-you-can-eat pizza and southern food place just down the street. Its closeness and cheapness and family-friendliness bring us there time and time again. Knowing Sean and his love of the AYCE places, we often go there when he comes to visit. Because Mark works late a lot, sometimes it's just me and the kids with Sean.
Because it's family run, we've gotten to know the staff there. Really nice people! However, it's evident how strange we must seem. Me and Mark and the kids, Me and Sean and the kids. . . .as Mark said one day as we were walking in "Which husband is she going to bring today?"
Well last night Sean and Ellen were kind enough to babysit for us so we could have a precious, precious kidless meal for Mark's birthday. As we were pulling out I said "Hey, Sean and Ellen should take the kids to Azoni's - that would really blow their mind!" I almost called to suggest it but decided not to. Instead Mark and I thought of who should take the kids to Azoni's next for the most comic effect. This time, Sean and Ellen. The next time, Ellen and some other male. The time after that, Mark and Ellen. Different parents every week!
When we got home from our dinner, we found out that they actually HAD taken the kids to Azoni's. The cashier woman (who incidentally loves Sean, whose superpower is to be the 'regular' at restaurants even if it's his first time there) looked at them in shock and said 'YOU CHEAT!!' to Sean. I laughed at this, but Ellen says she thinks that the woman's glare was in some earnest.
Verrry funny. I wonder if she'll tattle on Sean next time we go. My opinion is that she has a crush on Sean herself, though, and was holding out hope =)
In non-Azoni news, I think that Chase may be over the hates people hump - by the time we got home, he was best friends with Ellen - he was flirting with her until she left. YAY!!!!
